Anglandshøj at Anglands Bog, an old bronze age battle field.

Anglandshøj at the bronze age battle fields.
In the bronze age some 3500 years ago, according to the myths, Denmark was attacked by England. The first battle took place at the Dike of Ramme and the danes lost and suffered large losses.
After the defeat, the remainder of the danish army were again attacked and again it came to harsh battle. This time the danes prevailed, and the english attackers were slain down to the last man. The battle took place further east, at a place which even in the present time is called 'Anglands Mose' (Anglands Bog).
The area east of the grave mound is the remainder of the bog, and it is said that the small elevated dirt piles scattered over the forest base, is the graves of the fallen english soldiers.

The cache is a part of the multicache "Oltidsvejen", GCGYE7, and it contains: Logbook, pencils, pencilsharpener, a Sheriffs Star, a 3.5mm stereo jack plug, some chinese candy, a lemon refreshing tissue and a small pink 'hair thing'.

Angslandshoj 24 juli 2007

Found the cache in heavy rain. Therefore we had to write our log in the new book very quickly and had no time to find out more about this historical forest. But we will be back one time...

Thanks!

Makers: bedankt!
